Michael Anthony

Michael Anthony's passion for boating traces back to his earliest memories on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, where he began his maritime journey alongside his grandfather. At just five years old, Michael's grandfather entrusted him with the helm of a 13-foot Lyman boat powered by a 7.5 hp Evinrude motor. Demonstrating his ability to handle, dock, and care for the boat, Michael earned the privilege of solo excursions – a pivotal moment that ignited his lifelong love for boating.

Determined and resourceful from a young age, Michael's desire to own his first boat at the age of 11 drove him to take matters into his own hands. When his father declined to buy the boat, Michael borrowed $10 from his father and invested it in a lawn mower. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he secured several mowing jobs in his neighborhood that same day, earning enough to repay his father and cover the fuel expenses. Michael negotiated a deal with the boat's seller, agreeing to pay $5 a week for the cherished vessel. This marked the inception of his journey into self-employment and boat ownership, a journey that has spanned 59 years of buying, selling, and restoring boats purely for the love of the craft. Michael continues to indulge in his passion for boats, ensuring that his lifelong devotion to the maritime world lives on.

Rob Welch

"My name is Rob Welch. My love for boats began in the serene waters of New York's Finger Lakes. From a young age, I knew I had a deep connection with boats. I would spend countless hours out on the water and meticulously restoring them on the side as a hobby. In fact, in 1986, at just 18 years old, I decided I need on a summer-long project so I challenged myself to revive a wooden runabout, a cherished possession that remains in my care to this day!

My professional journey has been intertwined with his lifelong love affair with boats. While his career has seen him excel in the electronics industry, his heart has always remained tethered to the water. Now, as he looks ahead to the next chapter of his life, Rob eagerly anticipates retiring from his current profession to fully immerse himself in the world of boating, where his true passion lies.

Being out on a boat, on the water is the greatest gift I have been given."
